Home and back again

eaRs gLUeD tO: "Shine" by Shannon Noll

Sigh, what a terrific two weeks back home. Didn't realise how much i missed Malaysia until the plane touched down at KLIA. I can't describe the feeling, wanted to jump down the plane, skip the immigration checks, and run straight to the arrival halls to meet my family. My anxiousness was heightened by a 3 hour flight delay.
However, everything seems so familar as soon as i touched Malaysian soil....KLIA, the people, our unique rojak language, glorious delicious food, hot sweaty sun...sigh. And my home, Subang Jaya, both had gone through slight renovations but were still the place i grew up in and love.

And yet, things do change in a year. Parents look older than i recalled, thanks to wrinkles( mostly due to me no doubt), healthwise not too good either. Granny seemed to be alright, though TT has lost more weight to appear more skeleton-like. Friends are the same, not much changes, though i am dissappoined by some.

Whoever said the first time is the hardest was wrong. Saying goodbye a second time to my family and Malaysia nearly killed me. I don't know why, the tears just flowed down my eyes at the airport when we were saying our final goodbyes. It was just yesterday that i was having dinner with them and now, i won't be able to see them for a year. My heart feels raw, i think i will start crying again. I will be fine, but i need time to adjust myself. UK friends have flown back, and i just shifted to my new place. Right now, i just feel small...need rest...
