Christmas in Newcastle

My first Christmas without my family. So how did i spend my Christmas?

Went to morning mass at the university's chaplaincy. This was followed by a movie session at a friend's place. We saw a very very old version of Jack and The Beanstock. Ah, a time when special effects was unheard of.

Later in the evening, went to a christmas social, also at the chaplaincy. It was fun. We sang christmas songs and played games, and ate, and ate.
Seriously, i am beginning to grow fat here. My tops seem to have shrunk and my jeans are darn tight. Somehow, i do not think it has anything to do with the way i wash my clothes.

I had a nice Christmas today. And tomorrow is boxing day, a very hectic day indeed. It seems that the best time to shop is during Boxing Day when things are really cheap.
How cheap? Well, i will see for myself tomorrow although i am dreading it a little. Imagine, hordes and hordes of shoppers...sigh. Even heard that people line up to enter the shops even before it opens..
