Eeeer....i hope not! It's been one and a half year now since i first came to England. What i dislike most about here is definately the weather. I sleep in the cold and wake up the same way. I constantly feel as if i am living in a gigantic fridge and freezer, depending on the freakish weather. Sigh, but of course being here is not all bad. I am doing something i truly enjoy!
Back to the reason why i am writing this posting. Just spoke to my mum just now. I don't know when exactly i started to feel this way, but i find malaysian english slightly annoying. Okay, i am lying. I find it deeply annoying. With all the lah and mas...Uuuughhh
Oh god, what is happening to me? I mean, the way we malaysians speak english makes us well, Malaysian! That's the way people here differentiate malaysians from koreans and chinese from china.
It's just weird. Whenever i hear malaysian english now, i just feel so AAArrrgggggg.. I think it's time for me to return to malaysia for a holiday...

I don't think how a person is defined as "Malaysian" is just based on how they speak. I am sure other aspects play a role... (ie driving? =0P)
I can assure you that you are not the only one who feels that way about "Malaysian" english or even... Singlish.

Hmm, I know I'm still very much speaking "Malaysian" english, and even worse, I'm actually improving my BM, dunno for wat purpose...

But i can definately identify a Malaysian from a sea of people as soon as he opens his mouth. The slang is so remarkable. Aiy, we Malaysians are really something :)yes hor?
