Watched Star Wars episode 3, Revenge of The Sith. It is loads better than episode 1 and 2. George Lucas seemed to have avoided the factors which contributed to the lackadaisical reviews episode 1 and 2 suffered. One, Jar jar Binks only appears for a minute. And in that short time, he does not talk. Really. Second, the lovey dovey Anakin-Padme scenes are more bearable, okay in fact.
I really do not have any complains about episode 3. However, the movie begins smack in the middle of a battle scene. One might get quite confused if one did not watch the animated "Clone Wars" prior to watching episode 3. Luckily i caught clone wars on the good old TV. It also explains how Anakin got the scar across his left eye.
One word to describe the movie-Tragic. Poor Anakin. My perception of Darth Vader from evil-hand-cutting-baddie has changed to tragic-hero-figure. Sob..What he did, he did it out of LOVE...sniff sniff.
I think the point where he became Darth Vader is the end of the movie when he found out that Padme died, not before. He only turned evil completely when he realise the one thing he loves is gone and he no longer has anything to lose..sad indeed.
Episode 3 does set the tone for episode 4, 5 and 6. Loose ends are wrapped up quite nicely. The antics of R2D2 provide some much needed comical moments. I want a R2 toy! : ) All in all, i bestow a rating of 8 out of 10 stars for this movie.
